Join Breckenridge History for a fun-packed summer with events for everyone! Get a special after-hours glimpse at our museums, hear talks from experts in their field, and enjoy the summer sun with a birthday bash!





NRO Concerts
Join the National Repertory Orchestra, Breckenridge History, and Breckenridge Creative Arts for the Music in the Mountains concerts series. These free concerts take place throughout the community and will include talks about the arts and history surrounding the locations.

Eves of History
This new series will open up our museums after hours to dive deep into different sides to our history. Explore the story of Barney Ford as he prepared for his life of freedom, and learn how the Ute people use STEM in their constant innovations.

Edwin Carter Museum 150th Anniversary
Edwin Carter first opened the doors to his museum in 1875! Now, 150 years later, we are still telling the story of Carter and the wildlife collection he created. Join us this summer to celebrate this major milestone for our museum with looks at the past and present of the Edwin Carter.
Aug. 22, 5-7 pm, Ute History talk by Ute tribal member Skyler Lomahaftewa and Aspen Historical Society’s Amy Honey. Co-sponsored by Friends of the Dillon Ranger District, inside the Edwin Carter Museum.
Aug. 24, 1-3 pm, Museum Birthday Party, Edwin Carter Museum lawn.
